Pigmentation

Pigmentation affects so many people. Although some types of pigmented lesions exist at birth, often times pigment represents one of the first signs of aging.

That is why so many people are interested in removing pigment. There are several options to treat pigmented lesions. The most important issue is diagnosing the nature of pigmentation and in some cases, a biopsy is necessary to rule out any suspicious lesion. We can use microdermabrasion, micro needling, mesotherapy, IPL or Laser therapy. Most patients find the procedures tolerable and require no numbing cream or anesthesia. They often compare the laser pulse to a snap of a thin rubber band( in case of laser treatment). Most pigmented lesions will require only a few treatments to be near completely removed.

Darker, deeper and larger pigmented lesions may require additional treatments.
